A Russian court has ordered the seizure of assets from Deutsche Bank and UniCredit in response to a lawsuit by RusKhimAlians. This lawsuit stems from the halted cooperation with German company Linde on a major gas project, disrupted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Deutsche Bank faces a seizure of €239 million, while UniCredit’s assets worth €463 million are targeted. Both banks had significant exposure to Russia but have been reducing their operations amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
